Supply chain collaboration is a mechanism in which two or more partners work together to create a sustainable competitive advantage by sharing reliable information, taking joint decisions and sharing the resultant financial benefits, which cannot be achieved alone (adapted from Simatupang & Sridharan, 2002).

As part of its drive towards collaboration in the supply chain, Imperial Logistics held a supply chain round table discussion last year, which was attended by leaders in the industry and hosted by Resolve MD Heinrich Strauss. Facilitated by Professor Nick Binedell, the participants shared their insights, challenges, lessons learned and strategies for the way forward for successful collaboration.
